Fun little game concept, my highest turn was 68,800. turns out a combination of men at arms and horse riders can be pretty insane with the right perks.

Definitely would be interested in seeing this one flushed out a bit more, not a full, years long dev time, but something small and snacky I think this would be awesome.

My most recent build was all horses, which was pretty fun, converting every single unit into a mounted unit of some kind. The mechanics are certainly interesting. it took me a bit to figure them out. like that you can discard more than one card per discard, and that you can directly supply troops, and not just supplies, maybe rename supplies to make that less confusing. overall, great job Evan, also love the music.

P.S. other than the music, where does the "Amen" come in? like monks are a late game unit, but I don't get it as an overarching theme other than the music, which is pretty stellar for a gamejam game.

Thanks!

I'm not 100% certain about the "Amen" part... the concept was a little bit like "Assemble your troops and then pray"... a bit like in Balatro where you just hope your number is high enough.

I'm sure glad you could figure it out! (Given that it is pretty untested and clearly a bit confusing!)

I think 68,000 is higher than I've ever gotten!

Okay, so it means "Attack! and leave the rest to God" sort of thing, like the concept, maybe the name is as good as it's going to get then

Maybe the '&' could be dropped to get the point across  better. "...Amen. Attack!" might work better?

My head canon says it's because they're lost Crusaders
